I bought my Droid so I could write apps on it (character name generator, here we come!) But I realize that not all women are as technical as I am.
The other aspect that people haven’t brought up — women still make $.75 on the dollar that men do. Yes, even in technical fields. The statistics may stay skewed because women have fewer dollars to spend on a smart phone then men.
Why are So Many Android Owners Male? Gender war in the comments at RWW. I particularly liked this comment - as women we do make less money, and therefor an Andriod is more difficult to purchase.
