People never use linguistic fillers like ‘ummmm’ or ‘errrr’ when they talk to their pets. That’s because around animals you don’t have to carefully watch your words. Unless it’s a radioactive librarian cat with super powers of grammatical comprehension. Those ones tend to judge. And then shoot lasers at you.
